Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. She covers all aspects of space, including NASA and Space Force, Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of Space Tourism. Kristin's parents were both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space. She has also been an White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the Biden and Trump Administrations' positions on space issues. Through that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the spread of coronavirus as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Kristin traveled extensively, both with the vice president and president. The reporter even took a secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Prior to being hired by the channel in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin, who is adept at filmmaking, launched Field Mouse Films, a business that specialises in documentary style films, for clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors in Science of Journalism at Boston University. She is married to her husband in Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
